Who Are We?

We’re all about the good stuff here. Good food, really good views and great wine.

We like it simple, local and fresh, and we stand by that in everything we do – from fish and chips in the kiosk, to a three or four course meal in our restaurant, or just drinks on the deck, taking in our smashing views. Trust us, you’ll never want to leave (we don’t).

We like pretty food and great settings, but most of all, we like good food and friendly, reliable service (the kind that makes you want to be pals with us). We welcome the thong (flip flops for those playing over the pond), the bathers under the sarong, the ball-gown, the suit and everything in between.

What to expect @ The Star

We’re all about fresh South Australian produce, beautiful seafood, great wine and spectacular views. Despite our name, we’re not a Greek restaurant!

We take our food seriously, but not ourselves. No white tablecloths, no silver service and no dress code. Just relaxed coastal dining, friendly faces and a pretty spectacular spot to enjoy it all.

With a focus on fresh, local ingredients, the Star is known for delicious dishes that let you taste the region. While we aim to create beautiful plates of food that’ll make you go wow, for us it’s all about local and showcasing what our abundant region has to offer.

While we love our cutlery shiny and our glasses sparkling, we don’t like to be too fancy. We call it friendly dining. It’s a little bit nice, but it’s also approachable…so you can swish ‘n’ sniff your wine, but take your shoes off under the table and have a drink with us after your meal, too.

With fresh King George whiting and squid delivered from Kangaroo Island (just down the coast), as well as local pork, beef, veggies, fruit and dairy, you’ll be able to send off your tastebuds on a little adventure.

Functions

Thinking of hosting a function at our place, or interested in having your special day here – wedding, birthday, party – whatever you’re celebrating, we love a party.

For bookings of 10+ we offer our Chefs Menu. This is irrespective of what day you choose to come celebrate with us, but does not include children (you can have little tackers in addition, with our kids menu available for little bellies).

For bookings of 20+ we require an exclusive area booking. This can be either our Southside, outdoor deck area or inside, depending on the capacity of your party.
